Individually programmable parameters for rear security of your vehicle
The digital parking aid MWE 7106 with PPS (Parameter Programming System) from Dometic.
Contrary to the similar parking aid MWE 7006 in three stages, the sensitivity of the sensors (Ø 18 mm) of the MWE 7106 can be individually adjusted according to your own needs. The parameter programming system also enables the detection area and the actual stop zone to be set individually.
The six ultrasonic sensors included in the scope of delivery can be mounted on your vehicle in three different ways. Depending on the type of your vehicle, this parking aid not only protects the lower half of the rear of the vehicle, but also extends it to the upper half and the sides, for example. When measuring the distance, it also takes into account fixed vehicle structures, such as a trailer hitch. When using a bike rack, you can set the system to a second stop zone - depending on whether the bike rack is unfolded or not.
With its three mounting variants, this system is ideal for high and wide cars, vans or RVs. It acoustically and visually (optional) monitors the rear area at a distance of approx. 0.6 to 3.0 meters and automatically mutes the radio when maneuvering and offers almost the same parking comfort as an original factory-installed system.
Good to know!
Never install parts of the parking aid (or other parts) in the area of an airbag, as this could result in significant injury if the airbag is triggered.
If you have a vehicle with LED taillights, connecting them to these can cause problems when the parking aid is operating. In such a case, it is advisable to take the necessary reversing signal from an alternative location (for example from the fuse box).
The sensors can and may be painted.
And please always remember that a parking aid is intended to provide you with additional support. However, this does not mean that the use of this device (or any other auxiliary system) does not release you from your duty of care and caution when maneuvering.

Other accessories, such as other sensor holders (for sub-mounting or surface mounting), extension cable or LED display, are not included in the scope of delivery.

Sonstiges Zubehör, wie beispielsweise Sensorenhalter (für Unterbau- bzw. Oberflächenmontage), Verlängerungskabel oder LED-Display, ist nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten.
Montieren Sie niemals Teile der Einparkhilfe (ebenso wenig wie andere Teile) im Wirkungsbereich eines Airbags, da sonst unter Umständen erhebliche Verletzungsgefahr besteht, sofern der Airbag auslöst.
Sollten Sie ein Fahrzeug mit LED-Rücklichtern haben, kann der Anschluss an diese beim Betrieb der Einparkhilfe zu Störungen führen. In einem solchen Fall bietet es sich an, dass notwendige Rückfahrsignal an einer alternativen Stelle (beispielsweise an der Sicherungsbox) abzunehmen.
Die Sensoren können und dürfen lackiert werden.
Und bitte denken Sie stets daran, dass eine Einparkhilfe Sie zusätzlich unterstützen soll. Das bedeutet aber nicht, dass die Verwendung dieses Gerätes (als auch alle anderen Hilfssysteme) Sie nicht davon entbindet, Ihrer besonderen Sorgfalts- und Vorsichtspflicht beim Rangieren nachzukommen.
