Dometic CK 500 – 12 V Extractor Hood with Touch Control for Motorhomes and Caravans
The Dometic CK 500 is a powerful 12 V extractor hood for motorhomes, caravans and boats. It removes cooking fumes, steam and odours, directing the extracted air outside through a flexible duct and a mushroom vent installed on the vehicle roof.

Three fan speeds for adjustable extraction performance
The Dometic CK 500 features three selectable fan speeds and delivers an extraction capacity of up to 100 m³/h. The extraction performance can be adjusted via the touch control panel to suit your cooking needs.
Unlike a recirculating cooker hood, the extracted cooking fumes are not simply filtered and returned to the vehicle interior. Instead, the extraction system directs the air outside through the flexible duct and mushroom roof vent.
Touch controls with clock and timer functions
The integrated touch control panel allows convenient operation of the extractor hood. The touch-sensitive controls can be used to switch the fan and lighting on or off and select the required fan speed.
The display shows the current fan speed and the clock or selected timer setting. The timer function allows you to set a countdown, after which an audible signal sounds.
LED lighting and washable metal grease filter
The integrated LED lighting with a power consumption of 3 W illuminates the cooking area. It can be switched on and off independently of the fan.
The removable metal grease filter collects grease particles produced during cooking and can easily be removed for cleaning. According to Dometic, the filter can be cleaned using warm water and a suitable washing-up liquid. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinstalling it.
Installation beneath an overhead cabinet with roof-mounted extraction
The Dometic CK 500 is designed for installation above the cooking area, preferably centrally beneath an overhead cabinet. The supplied flexible extraction duct connects the extractor hood to the mushroom vent on the vehicle roof.
The following dimensions must be considered for the standard upward extraction arrangement:

Extractor hood dimensions: 530 × 60 × 204 mm (W × H × D)
When planning the extraction ducting, cabinet partitions, shelves, electrical cables and vehicle components must be taken into account. The mushroom vent is installed on the vehicle roof and must be properly sealed in accordance with the Dometic installation instructions.
Alternative sideways air extraction possible
In addition to the standard upward extraction arrangement, the Dometic CK 500 can also discharge air sideways. However, additional accessories and a separate fan are required and are not included in the scope of delivery.
Dometic specifies that this alternative installation must be carried out by an authorised workshop. Before purchasing, please check which extraction arrangement is suitable for your vehicle.
Important information before installation
Before purchasing, please check whether your vehicle provides sufficient space for the extractor hood, flexible extraction duct and intended air outlet arrangement.
- The minimum distance between a gas hob flame and the extractor hood is 50 cm.
- A roof opening with a diameter of 110 mm is required for standard upward extraction.
- The appliance requires a suitable 12 V DC power supply with correct polarity.
- The extractor hood must be securely fastened in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.
- Installation and electrical connection must be carried out by qualified personnel.
- All additional installation and safety instructions in the Dometic manual must be followed.
