If you have a vehicle with LED rear lights, the connection to these can lead to malfunctions when operating the parking aid! In such a case, it makes sense to pick up the necessary reversing signal at an alternative location (e.g. at the fuse box).

And please always remember that a parking aid should provide you with additional support. However, this does not mean that the use of this device (as well as all other auxiliary systems) does not release you from fulfilling your special duty of care and caution when manoeuvring.

Parking system for tall and wide motorhomes

The Dometic MagicWatch MWE 7006 is an electronic parking aid with six ultrasonic sensors, specially designed to meet the requirements of motorhomes and comparable large vehicles. As a reversing aid for motorhomes, it assists the driver when reversing and manoeuvring and provides an audible warning when obstacles are detected.

A special feature of the MWE 7006 is the choice of three different sensor installation configurations. Depending on the vehicle and the selected sensor arrangement, the system can monitor not only the conventional rear area but also higher obstacles and areas to the sides of the vehicle rear.

This makes the system particularly suitable for tall and wide motorhomes, where obstacles such as branches, low entrances or other objects above the usual bumper level also need to be taken into account.

Adjustable sensors for different vehicle configurations

The sensor sensitivity can be adjusted to three different levels, allowing the system to be adapted to the vehicle and installation conditions. Permanently fitted vehicle components such as a tow bar can be taken into account when measuring the distance to obstacles.

For motorhomes with a bike rack, the MWE 7006 offers another practical feature: the system can be switched to a second stop zone. This allows the warning zone to be adapted depending on whether the bike rack is in the folded or extended position.

Audible warning with optional visual display

Detected obstacles are indicated by an audible warning. For additional visual information, the system can be complemented by an optional LED distance display.

The six sensors have a diameter of 18 mm and can be painted for discreet integration into the vehicle.
