Powerful 24 V to 12 V DC/DC battery charger for motorhomes, commercial vehicles and boats

The Dometic PerfectPower DCC 2412-40 enables reliable charging of a 12 V leisure battery from a 24 V vehicle electrical system. The DC/DC battery charger converts the input voltage supplied by the 24 V starter battery into a controlled 12 V charging voltage and provides a charging current of 40 A.

With a 40 A charging current and 500 W power output, the DCC 2412-40 is particularly suitable for vehicles and applications with higher power requirements where an existing 24 V electrical system is combined with a 12 V leisure battery system.

From 24 V to 12 V – also suitable for EURO 6 vehicles

In modern EURO 6 vehicles with smart alternators, the voltage of the vehicle electrical system can fluctuate while driving. The Dometic PerfectPower DCC 2412-40 converts this variable input voltage into a controlled output voltage suitable for the connected 12 V battery system.

Thanks to galvanic isolation between the input and output, the 24 V input system and the 12 V output side are electrically isolated from each other. At the same time, a stable voltage is available on the output side.

IU0U charging technology for controlled battery charging

The IU0U charging technology enables charging to be adapted to the selected battery type. External DIP switches allow the DC/DC battery charger to be configured without opening the housing.

In combination with an optional temperature sensor, the DCC 2412-40 also supports temperature-compensated charging. This allows the charging voltage to be adjusted according to the battery temperature.
