Dometic LED sliding door rain gutter RainTec RT100 for MB Sprinter/VW Crafter I
Practical and proven rainwater drain with remote-controlled LED lighting
The in 2020 new developed illuminated rain gutter for sliding doors of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (since year of construction 2006 until present) or the similar model Volkswagen Crafter I (YOC 2006 until November 2016). See also the heading "Good to know!"
Who has not made the experience yet? After rain there is still remaining water on the vehicle roof, which is often going the way down as soon as you open the sliding door. Not infrequently, you are even hit by such a watering. But mostly the water runs directly into the vehicle interior.
With the rain gutter RainTec RT100 from Dometic this does not happen anymore. Even with the sliding door open, this rain gutter ensures in the future that water will be drained away from the sliding door. And it was a brilliant idea to provide the gutter with an integrated LED light bar. Thus, in addition, a good illumination of the area in front of the sliding door will prevent some accidents. And because the light can also be dimmed, nothing stands in the way of a pleasant evening mood.
Good to know!
The LED rain gutter offered here only fits in the sliding door area (only for the right side in the direction of travel) of the models listed below:
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906/W907, model years 2006 to present
- Volkswagen Crafter I, model years 2006 to November 2016
Exceptions are the models with a short wheelbase, whose sliding door is not wide enough at only 1040 mm!
Both of the above vehicle models were produced in cooperation between Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen between 2006 and 2016, so that they are usually identical except for the front design and engine. Since November 2016, Volkswagen has been producing the Crafter (successor model Crafter II) on its own again. This LED rain gutter was developed on the basis of the Sprinter, so it is not yet known whether it can also be used for the sliding door area of the Crafter II!
The integrated lighting must not be used while driving, but only when stationary.
Use a switch (optional) or the Dometic LED dimmer FFB8 (also optional) to conveniently operate the lighting.
Scope of delivery
In the delivery are included
- the illuminated rain gutter,
- 2 sheet metal screws, and
- an english language installation manual.
Other accessories, such a LED dimmer or sealant, are not part of the delivery.

Im Lieferumfang enthalten ist
- die Regenrinne mit integrierter Beleuchtung,

- eine deutschsprachige Montageanleitung.
Anderes Zubehör, wie z. B. ein LED-Dimmer oder Dichtmittel, ist nicht Bestandteil des Lieferumfangs.
Die hier angebotene LED Regenrinne passt ausschließlich im Schiebetürbereich (nur für die rechte Seite in Fahrtrichtung) der nachfolgend aufgeführten Modelle:
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter W906/W907, Baujahre 2006 bis heute
- Volkswagen Crafter I, Baujahre 2006 bis November 2016
Ausgenommen sind die Modelle mit kurzem Radstand, deren Schiebetür mit nur 1040 mm nicht breit genug ist!
Beide vorstehenden Fahrzeugmodelle wurden in der Zeit von 2006 bis 2016 von Mercedes-Benz und Volkswagen in Kooperation hergestellt, so dass diese im Regelfall bis auf Frontdesign und Motorisierung baugleich sind. Seit November 2016 produziert Volkswagen den Crafter (Nachfolgemodell Crafter II) wieder in Eigenregie. Diese LED-Regenrinne wurde auf Basis des Sprinters entwickelt, so dass bisher nicht bekannt ist, ob diese unter Umständen auch für den Schiebetürbereich des Crafters II verwendet werden kann!
Die integrierte Beleuchtung darf nicht während der Fahrt, sondern nur im Stand benutzt werden.
Verwenden Sie einen Schalter (optional) oder den Dometic LED-Dimmer FFB8 (ebenso optional), um die Beleuchtung komfortabel bedienen zu können.
