The safe developed by Mobil-Safe in the measurement of 355 x 180 x 380 mm (Width x Hight x Depth) is adapted exactly to the space below the driver or passenger seat of a Fiat Ducato type X250/290, construction year since 2006 (this includes the new model series 8 since July 2021!).
This model uses the maximum available width so that objects up to 13 inches (33 cm) in length can be safely locked up. This safe can of course also be installed in the identical vehicle models Peugeot Boxer or Citroen Jumper. The safe will be connected constructively together with the front screwing of the seat console This connection requires a certain effort to let the safe if necessary go as a whole. That takes time; time that such thieves usually doesn't have.
The safe body consists of 3 mm and the by a 3-bolt lock secured door of 6 mm thick sheet steel. Its total net weight is approx. 12.4 kg (27.3 lbs). The frame is additionally reinforced with a tube, so that the constructive inside door protects the safe from being leveraged from the outside. The unlocking of the door is done by a key-bit and is easily removable. Valuables and documents can be conveniently inserted or removed through the large opening.
