Dometic MWE 890 on and off switch

Helpful on and off switch for the front parking aid MagicWatch MWE 890

The parking aid is connected to the vehicle's speed signal and is activated automatically when the ignition is switched on in the range from 0 to 15 km/h and warns with acoustic beeps if the front distance to an obstacle is less than 0.75 m.

In city traffic or in traffic jams in general, this can be quite annoying, since the distance to the vehicle in front is often undercut. In such a case, the parking aid can be switched on or off using this switch. When parking, however, make sure that it is switched on again.

Technical Note
Owners of a KIA vehicle who use the Dometic parking aid MWE 890 need a different (optically identical) switch version (Dometic item no. 9101500066), as this one cannot be used for KIA models. See also our separate note in the adjoining tab "Good to know!".

Wichtig für Halter von KIA-Fahrzeugen

Aufgrund technischer Unterschiede zu Fahrzeugen übriger Hersteller bedarf es zur Nutzung des Ein- und Ausschaltmodus unter Verwendung der Dometic MWE 890 Einparkhilfe die Ausführung eines anderen (jedoch baugleichen) Schalters (unsere Art-Nr. 610-00258).
