Dometic Seitz S4 Hinged Windows for Motorhomes & Caravans
The Dometic Seitz S4 hinged window is one of the proven window systems for motorhomes, caravans and recreational vehicles. It combines an outward-opening acrylic window with an integrated blackout blind and flyscreen and is available in numerous sizes.
The double acrylic glazing has a light grey tint. The integrated blackout blind and flyscreen can be operated independently or connected to each other. Side-mounted telescopic stays with friction hinges allow the window pane to be opened and positioned as required.

Dometic Seitz S4 – Hinged Window with Blackout Blind and Flyscreen
The Dometic Seitz S4 combines a window, blackout blind and insect protection in one coordinated system. The outer frame is finished in black, while the cream-white inner frame blends discreetly into the interior of many recreational vehicles.

Which Dometic S4 Window Size Do I Need?
When selecting a Dometic Seitz S4 window, you should consider not only the nominal size stated in the product name, but above all the cut-out dimensions and overall dimensions.
For easier orientation, we distinguish between the following dimensions. All dimensions are specified as Width × Height (W × H):
- Nominal size: the size designation of the respective Dometic S4 window.
- Cut-out dimensions: the required dimensions of the opening in the vehicle wall.
- Overall dimensions: the external dimensions of the complete window including the frame.
- Clear opening: the unobstructed opening or usable viewing area within the window frame.
Especially when replacing an existing window, we recommend carefully measuring the existing wall cut-out and comparing it with the cut-out dimensions shown in the table.

Dometic S4 or Dometic PUR-Win S10?
The Dometic PUR-Win S10 provides an additional window option for numerous S4 nominal sizes. While the Dometic Seitz S4 features the classic frame design with lightly grey-tinted acrylic glazing, the S10 has a modern, flush-looking black exterior design and significantly darker Privacy Black double acrylic glazing.
The Dometic PUR-Win S10 is suitable for replacing an existing Dometic S4 hinged window when the corresponding size is available. You can see which S4 nominal sizes are also available as an S10 by the ✓ symbol in the size guide.
Depending on your preferred appearance and the available window size, you can therefore choose between the proven Dometic Seitz S4 and the more modern-looking Dometic PUR-Win S10.
What Tint Do Dometic Seitz S4 Windows Have?
The acrylic pane of the standard Dometic Seitz S4 has a light grey tint. This clearly distinguishes it from the considerably darker Privacy Black glazing of the Dometic PUR-Win S10.
If you are specifically looking for a window with a darker exterior appearance, you should therefore also consider the available sizes of the Dometic PUR-Win S10.
