Driver's cab side window darkening SP 310 from Dometic
For Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Jumper of model series 8
The tried and tested side window darkening SP 310 from Dometic is integrated into a robust, all-round full frame. This means that the darkening is well protected in everyday use and is also easy to operate. In the color RAL 7044 (silk gray), the full frame also matches the corresponding front window darkening blinds FP 300 or FP 210 perfectly.
A high-quality darkening for the side windows, left and right, of a motorhome based on the Fiat Ducato model series 8 from model year July 2021 or from model year January 2024 for the Peugeot Boxer/Citroen Jumper or Opel Movano (for the Ducato, Boxer or Jumper built between July 2006 and June 2021, respectively December 2023 inclusive, see the following note "Good to know!").
This darkening not only protects your privacy from the prying eyes of others, but also keeps out heat, cold and up to 99% of harmful UV radiation. The Dometic SP 310 side window darkening is made of double-pleated, aluminum-coated honeycomb material and is very easy to install (see also "Good to know" for restrictions).
To install the side window darkening, you need a hand or cordless screwdriver with a small Phillips head and a metal twist drill Ø 2.8 mm. If If you do not have such a metal twist drill available, you can add one directly to your order (see "Accessories" below).
Vehicle owners whose motorhomes are equipped with HEOSafe additional locks on the driver and passenger doors are requested to read our instructions/information in the following "Good to know!".

Important note!
The Dometic SP 310 side window darkening does NOT fit Fiat Ducato manufactured between June 2006 and June 2021 inclusive, as the design of the door panel changed with the introduction of model series 8 (from July 2021). Dometic has developed the SP 300 article for this. However, the principle of the actual side window darkening has remained unchanged.
For Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper and the Opel Movano (since the end of 2021), these changes (model series 8) were only made from January 1, 2024, so that the SP 310 also fits vehicles produced from this point onwards.
We recommend installing the respective full frame from the inside with the driver or passenger door closed.
When inserting the full frame in front of the side window, you will notice that the frame is slightly smaller than the existing window cut-out. This ensures that it can be easily inserted. This means that the inserted frame can also be moved slightly vertically (up/down) and horizontally (left/right).
In practice, it has been shown that the final position can best be determined before the frame is actually attached if this is done from the inside with the vehicle door closed. This ensures that the full frame can be optimally positioned both functionally and visually in relation to possible door or ceiling panels.
HEOSafe additional locks:
If HEOSafe additional locks are already installed in your vehicle, the respective full frame must be adjusted on site. Unfortunately, the usual installation position of the additional lock and that of the full frame of the SP 310 side window darkening do not match. The lower corner of the SP 310 full frame overlaps the upper area of the HEOSafe door lock. In order to be able to mount the full frame of the SP 310, however, a cut-out must be made at this point, which can be made with files, a metal saw or, ideally, with a Dremel tool. The cut-out usually runs just below the screw hole in the full frame (see our image #7 above for an illustration).
To ensure that the cut-out does not run within the existing and absolutely necessary screw hole, this normally requires the full frame to be positioned as high as possible within the inner side window area. Therefore, check the maximum possible position of the full frame beforehand by first removing the lock and holding the full frame in its best possible position from the inside with the door closed. Put the additional lock back into its mounting position as far as possible to see whether the cut-out to be made will then still run just below the existing screw hole.
If the above requirement is met, then such an adjustment can be made easily with a little manual skill and will hardly be noticeable after assembly. The existing screw hole is then covered by a cover supplied as standard. It is imperative that the full frame can also be screwed to the door at this point, otherwise (especially when driving) the vibration of the vehicle will cause rattling noises.
We recommend that you only check the fit from the inside with the doors closed. With the doors open, you cannot determine whether the full frame is perhaps too high in the intended position and is hitting the door seal there, so that although the installation with the additional lock was successful, the door may then no longer be able to be closed at all. Due to tolerances that occur, albeit very rare, in vehicle production, it cannot be ruled out that the position of the additional lock leads the required cut-out through the screw hole in the full frame and that under these circumstances it cannot be screwed to the door or an alternative solution for the screw connection must be found on site.
For the sake of order, we would like to and must point out that making such an adjustment is always your own responsibility and, as a result, the legal right to a warranty and/or guarantee for the respective full frame expires.
Tools required for assembly:
