Restrictions

This product is not suitable for vehicles whose interior rear-view mirror cannot be removed or for models from 07/2021 of the model series 8, which are equipped with a mechanical or electronic central rear-view mirror.

Furthermore, this product does not fit in vehicles that are equipped with folding beds, roof racks, storage compartments above the windshield or side or optionally installed airbags!

Tools required for assembly:

Hand or cordless screwdriver with smaller and larger Phillips attachment,
Metal twist drill Ø 2.5 mm and Ø 6.0 mm, and
if necessary, a carpet knife to make the required cutout for a rain sensor box

The scope of delivery includes only the darkening blind for the windscreen of the driver's cab.

The windscreen blind is suitable for both left and right-hand drive vehicles.

The identical darkening system for the side-windows (left and right) is optionally available (see our Item-No. 550-00660 or 550-00665) or can also be purchased as a complete package (Item-No. 550-00680 or 550-00685).

You can also purchase the metal twist drills required for assembly if you do not already have them (see below under "Accessories").

Windscreen darkening FP 300 from Dometic

For Fiat Ducato, Peutgeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper and *Opel Movano

A high-quality darkening system in the color silk gray for the windscreen of a motorhome based on Fiat Ducato type X250/X290 or the identical models Peugeot Boxer or Citroen Jumper from model year July 2006 or from July 2014 (type 290; * Opel Movano only from the end of 2021).

Owners of a vehicle from model year July 2021 (Fiat Ducato) or from model year January 2024 (Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper and Opel Movano) are asked to pay attention to our information under the following "Good to know!" area.

This system not only protects your privacy from the prying eyes of others, but also keeps out heat, cold and up to 99% of harmful UV radiation. The Dometic FP 300 darkening system is made of double-pleated, aluminum-coated honeycomb material and is very easy to install (see "Good to know" for restrictions). In combination with the SP 300 side window darkening system, which was introduced at the end of 2019, or the SP 310, which was adapted for the 8 series model from July 2021, the driver's cab area of your vehicle can be completely darkened.

The front window darkening also fits vehicles that are equipped with a rain sensor box. In this case, the required cutout in the upper stop rail is pre-milled with a groove at the factory and is cut out if necessary (see also picture #9 above). If your vehicle is not equipped with a rain sensor box, the upper stop rail is installed as supplied.

To install the windshield darkening, you will need a hand or cordless screwdriver with a small Phillips head, a metal twist drill Ø 2.5 mm and a twist drill Ø 6.0 mm, and a sturdy carpet knife (cutter) if you need to make the necessary cutout in the stop rail for a rain sensor box (see also picture #9 above).
If you do not have one of the required metal twist drills, you can add the required drill individually or both in a set directly to your order (see "Accessories" below).
