Compact Rear View Camera for Panel Vans and Motorhomes
The Dometic CAM 29S is a compact and robust rear view camera for panel vans, motorhomes and caravans, specially developed for the particular vehicle geometries of recreational vehicles. It is particularly suitable for vehicles where there is little or no suitable mounting space at the rear for a conventional rear view camera.
Thanks to its slim, cylindrical housing, the Dometic PerfectView CAM 29S can be installed discreetly and in a space-saving manner, even where installation space is limited. The integrated 150° wide-angle lens provides a large diagonal field of view, thereby improving visibility when reversing, manoeuvring and parking.
Large Field of View and High-Quality Image
The high-quality 1/4" CMOS colour image sensor delivers detailed and high-contrast colour images. Thanks to its high light sensitivity, the camera also provides a reliable view of the area behind the vehicle under changing and difficult lighting conditions.
The integrated electronic brightness adjustment automatically adapts the image display to different lighting conditions. The factory-activated mirror image function ensures an intuitive image display on the connected monitor – similar to looking into a conventional rear-view mirror.
Robust and Suitable for Outdoor Use
With its IP68 protection rating, the Dometic CAM 29S is particularly well protected against the ingress of water and dust. This makes the rear view camera suitable for permanent use on the vehicle and for a wide range of weather conditions.

CAM 29S including 20 m System Cable – for 6-Pin Standard DIN Monitor Connection
This version of the Dometic CAM 29S is supplied including a 20 m system cable. The CAM 29S features a 6-pin Mini-DIN connection with a diameter of approximately 7 mm. The supplied 20-metre system cable has a 6-pin standard DIN plug (approx. 13 mm diameter) at the other end, allowing suitably equipped monitors to be connected directly to the camera. Unlike previous versions, an additional adapter cable is no longer required.
Connection to a Monitor or Navigation System
The Dometic PerfectView CAM 29S is designed for connection to a Dometic monitor, an external monitor or a navigation system with an RCA video input. Depending on the existing wiring, an additional adapter (see "Accessories" below) may be required for connection to compatible external or RCA systems.
Before purchasing, please therefore check the available connections on your monitor or navigation system and ensure that the required cabling is available.
